The second session of the Parliament shall become "a session of constitutional amendments and large-scale reforms in different spheres". Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman said this on Monday at the meeting of the National Reform Council chaired by President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko.
Volodymyr Groysman stressed that Ukrainian government is facing "serious tasks on implementing reforms". "We have to rebuild an imbalanced post-Soviet state and post-Soviet system into a modern European state of Ukraine", he claimed. "Every one of us has a task that they should conduct. Surely, we have to work as a team", said Volodymyr Groysman. "We shall all show that we have a will to change".
"2015 is the year of reforms. We have to be efficient and dynamic", claimed the Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada.
Speaking about the grounds for reforms, Volodymyr Groysman stressed that the document "which has very clear directions and indicators of reaching the aim" is the Program for developing Ukraine "Strategy 2020". Operation plan of "Strategy 2020" is "Country Revival Plan for 2015-2017" which was elaborated with consideration of European experience.
He hopes that soon according to these documents, the coalition agreement, and the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement, a plan of legislative work for 2015-2017 will be elaborated. Volodymyr Groysman believes that this will allow elaborating and adopting legislative acts in all spheres that require reforms.
The Chairperson of the Parliament upheld the need to sum up the government's work monthly. In connection with this, he called "to work as a team", saying that the Ukrainian Parliament will be able to complete tasks on reforming the country. Volodymyr Groysman also commented on the importance of establishing a feedback with citizens to understand what the society is interested in today.
